Hi There is a lot of ways to do,one of the best ways that i have found is affiliate marketing.
You can promote other peoples items and make good money.
It will take some time, depending on what you already know.
You will need excellent tools, products, training and probably a web site.
You might want to look at this: http://gimpyone.gogvo.com/index3.php
I have found possibly all that you might need to jump start a way to a place you never
thought possible. Good luck with your future. Gary

Your decision will depend on the specific sector and sub-sector in which you want to consult (stay in health care, move to other industry specialty - perhaps supplier to hc, etc). For this response, I'll use 'HC' to cover the assumed healthcare industry. Who influences the leadership of the HC area you're experienced in? Other consultants, consortiums (think tanks etc)? What about the smaller (boutique) types of consultants who have a very specific niche that they focus on and are well regarded in? Very importantly, get out to visit your company's customers, regardless of whether this is the specific sub-sector you want to go into. Find out and confirm what their challenges are, how your company helps them (quantify the impact as much as possible) AND find out about the other areas of their biz and who the work with as vendors/consultants in those areas. Connecting these dots is important. Then network with the right folks. You can even ask your customer for an introduction to the other vendors - not for a career discussion, but for a broader and better understanding of their biz so that your company can do a better job in serving them. Good luck!

I was a marketing consultant for 7 years. First, find a mentor in the field of marketing consulting and see if they will help you get starting...maybe working for them. Two try to establish yourself as an expert in an area - research, promotions, event planning, communications, advertising, internet, etc. by giving seminars for the local Chamber of Commerce or writing articles for the local papers. Three start a network of associates to get referrals.

Good luck - it is great fun!

The best is aweber... they are simply great. Its only $20 a month, you can create unlimited email lists, you can set up unlimited auto responders, and set everything on auto and its click of a button easy.

They have a spam control generator which shows your a color coded spam setting of each email you send out, you simply have to tweak things that get labeled as spam before you send it out. There is not a better service out there... Check it out at

http://www.aweber.com/?282532

at the site they also have a free tour you can take and kinda test drive it. Trust me its worth the 19.99/ mnth fee..

Its makes your job so much easier.

then if you'd like you can sign up for my newsletter that I actually use this service with... the newsletter is free and it is about tips for internet martketing and website traffic buidling at

Marketing is easy, but from what I have heard, you may be able to branch off into marketing whilst having not majored in it, if you have enough experience within the finance industry.

Finance is where it is at. Overall it is a thorough area of study, and a majority of the parts are easy enough to cope with if you put your mind to it. The subjects I have done have been appropriate to the different areas of investment banking you can branch off into, eg, derivatives, corporate finance, FOREX.

Maybe you should consider accounting as well, since finance and Accounting go hand in hand. A vast majority of CEO's have backgrounds in accounting.

Marketing is one of the easiest business majors that makes the most money for the work you but in. You also get to be creative and meet new people. However if you really don't like dealing with people and brown nosing, and selling thing it will suck for you. You also have to write a lot more then in finance.

Finance is really challenging but I really enjoy it. In away you do get to be creative and find new arbitrage opportunities. You learn a lot about what's going on around you in the financial world and there are a lot of great opportunities to work in the environment you like where in an office like corporate finance or is sell like investments. Down side it teaches you that people are greedy and self serving. That to make it you have to look out for yourself.

however most CEO come from either marketing or finance.
